Like, 'This is shit that's going on inside my head,' or, 'This is something that I'm dealing with.' Singer Chester Bennington said: "There are songs that don't specifically talk about situations, they talk about a frame of thinking. LINKIN PARK recently released new video update from the studio in which members of the band discussed their approach to the upcoming album's lyrical themes. One More Light is off-kilter bullshit taking a shot at drawing a much younger audience. LINKIN PARK is expected to reveal more details about the album during a Facebook Live event today at noon PT / 3 p.m. LINKIN PARK unveiled the cover art for the follow-up to 2014's "The Hunting Party" earlier this week, and the track listing has since been revealed via Amazon. The group debuted a new song, "Heavy", via Los Angeles radio station KROQ earlier today. Fear is how I fall, confusing what is real.LINKIN PARK has set "One More Light" as the title of its new album, due on May 19 via Warner Bros. The Hunting Party felt like a record Linkin Park wanted to make, one that had passion and energy behind its creation, one. Seriously, it's downright chilling when the vocalist cries, "Crawling in my skin, these wounds they will not heal. It’s impossible to talk about One More Light without bringing up The Hunting Party, seeing as that album inadvertently led to the existence of this one. This, of course, is hindsight, but it's near impossible not to see a ballad like "Crawling" (which first appeared on 2000's Hybrid Theory) as some kind of cry for help that no one ever heard. Another thing to watch out for is the darkness creeping through Bennington's lyrics. In fact, Linkin Park sound totally in their element when making such daring, even controversial leaps. After all, here's a group that has no problem encompassing both melodic rock riddled with electro-pop hooks ("Talking to Myself") and mosh pit jams hurling out raspy howls and razor riffs ("Bleed It Out"). But what's also apparent is the sheer breadth of their sonic vision. Recorded in the months just prior to Chester Bennington's tragic suicide, One More Night Live feels like last call for one of the alt-metal era's definitive bands.
